SAFEGUARDING POLICY

Fidelium is committed to providing a safe environment for everyone who attends our events or contributes to the life of our network.

Events organised solely by Fidelium (marked with an asterisk * on our programmes) are intended for adults aged 18 and over.

Where Fidelium promotes or formally endorses an event organised by a parish or another external organisation — such as a patronal festival or act of worship taking place independently of Fidelium (not marked with an asterisk on our programme) — it is not a solely Fidelium-organised event. Under-18s may be present where permitted by the organising body, and appropriate safeguarding arrangements remain the responsibility of that body.

Our Safeguarding Lead advises the Committee on safeguarding matters, acts as a point of contact for anyone wishing to raise a safeguarding concern related to Fidelium, and ensures that any such concern is referred to, and liaises as appropriate with, the relevant parish, diocese, Forward in Faith, or other body responsible for the activity concerned.
