WHO WE ARE
Fidelium is a lay-led network of young adults aged 18–35 rooted in the catholic tradition of the Church of England. Based in London, with connections across the country, the network brings together those drawn to the Church’s sacramental life, theological seriousness, and shared worship. Created and run by young adults themselves, Fidelium exists to foster connection, confidence, and belonging among those seeking a faithful and rooted life in the Church.

WHY WE EXIST

Many young Anglo-Catholics experience parish life in isolation, unsure how to connect with others of a similar age or how to engage more deeply with the tradition. Fidelium exists to address this, by creating a visible and welcoming network that links people across parishes while remaining firmly grounded in local church life. Our aim is not to replace parish life, but to support it by helping young adults feel more rooted in their local church and more connected to the wider catholic life of the Church of England.
OUR COMMON LIFE
Alongside the events we organise, we publicise liturgies and gatherings organised by parishes in the Fidelium network and by the catholic devotional societies, making them more visible to young adults and easier to attend. Our programme is published quarterly and includes Masses and socials, an online Rosary group, teaching sessions and lectures, Bible studies, pilgrimages and parties, offering opportunities for worship, formation, and fellowship throughout the year.

OUR ORGANISATION

A key part of our structure is our growing network of parish representatives, who serve as Fidelium’s presence in their local churches. Reps welcome newcomers, share information about events, and help connect their parish life to the Fidelium network. Parish reps are drawn from the active Fidelium community, based on their experience, reliability, and the particular gifts they bring. The network is also overseen by a small committee who guide its direction and manage its day-to-day operations.
PATRONAGE, ETHOS AND WELCOME
Fidelium is under the pastoral patronage of the Rt Rev’d Jonathan Baker, Bishop of Fulham, who provides episcopal oversight to traditionalist parishes in the dioceses of London and Southwark. Those involved in Fidelium hold a range of views on the ordination of women to the priesthood and episcopate, and the network does not take a corporate position on the matter. Instead, Fidelium is committed to offering a consistent and recognisably catholic sacramental life, celebrated by traditionalist ..

clergy under episcopal oversight, in which all can participate with confidence and integrity. While Fidelium’s ethos is distinctly Anglo-Catholic, all young adults — including those exploring the faith or newly encountering the tradition — are warmly welcome.
