HOW WE ARE RUN
Fidelium is a grassroots initiative led entirely by young laypeople. The network is overseen by a small committee of dedicated young adults who guide its direction and manage its day-to-day operations. Committee members are drawn from the active Fidelium community and are invited to serve based on their reliability, experience, and the particular gifts they bring. The committee ensures that all Fidelium activity remains faithful to our mission and rooted in the life of the Church.
A key part of our structure is our growing network of parish representatives — young volunteers from across the See of Fulham who serve as Fidelium’s presence in their local parishes. Reps are appointed by the committee and director, and are chosen for their commitment to the tradition, their warmth, and their ability to welcome others into parish life. They act as a first point of contact for new faces, help link their local churches to the wider network, and foster community on the ground. Reps are supported through regular communication, shared resources, and opportunities to collaborate.
Fidelium is under the pastoral patronage of the Rt Rev'd Jonathan Baker, the Bishop of Fulham, who provides episcopal oversight to traditionalist parishes in the dioceses of London and Southwark. While those involved in Fidelium hold a range of views on the ordination of women to the priesthood and episcopate, the network does not take a corporate position on the matter. Instead, our focus is on offering a consistent and recognisably Catholic sacramental life in which all can participate with confidence and integrity. Our liturgies are celebrated by traditionalist clergy and take place under Bishop Jonathan’s pastoral oversight, ensuring a shared sacramental understanding and a sense of unity in worship. Whatever your personal convictions, you are warmly welcome at Fidelium.
